SI LOLA AT SI LOLO NAMAN…ISANG PATOTOO

Sa bawat araw ng Linggo iba’t ibang uri ng tao ang nakikita sa Bahay Sambahan. Marami ang halos 40 taon gulang pataas, malalakas, masisigla na nagpupuri sa Panginoon. Ngunit meron isang babae na nangingibabaw sa lahat ang kanyang katangian.

Siya po ay si Lola Romana Caneta, 70 taon gulang. May 3 tatlong anak na puro matagumpay sa kanilang careers. Halos 27 taon na born-again si Lola Romana, 10 taon ay nasa Jesus the Gospel at 17 taon na nasa JIL.

Sa tuwing nagpupuri si Lola Romana ay kitang kita ang kakaibang kislap ng kanyang mga mata, siya ay masiglang nakikipagkamay at sumasabay sa nakakabatang kapatiran. Ayon sa kanya siya ay binibigyan ng kalakasan ng Panginoon. “Dito ako sa JIL umasenso, nagkaroon kami ng sariling bahay, lumakas at hindi na rin ako nagkakasakit pagkatapos ng pangalawa stroke 2 taon na ang nakaraan”. “Lalo Ako pinagpapala ng Panginoong Jesus at pati mga anak ko, na ngayon ay isang manager sa kompanya, ang isa naman ay nasa abroad na”.

Hindi lamang tuwing araw ng linggo nagpupuri si Lola Romana, hindi niya rin kinakaligtaan ang midweek service tuwing Miyerkulis na sa kadalasan ay nilalakad lang niya magmula sa kanyang bahay na halos 1 kilometro ang layo mula sa church. “ Ako ay hindi magsasawang magpuri sa Panginoon dahil siya lamang ang nagbibigay ng katalinuhan sa aking mga anak at higit sa lahat masayang-masaya ako at malakas habang ako’y patuloy na nagpupuri”.

Tunay nga na kahanga-hanga ang kabutihan ng Panginoon kahit anong edad ng kanyang buhay.

A testimony by the Lorena family

A family that prays and serves the Lord together is blessed - and stays praising God together.

The Lord is good, His love endures forever (Psalm 136:1).
He will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).

These are just two of the promises of the Lord that the Lorena family hold - on to in their daily walk with God — along with prayer. Prayer is their powerful tool to thank the Lord for the blessings they receive and also to overcome trials that come along their path . Through prayers and trust in the goodness of the Lord, even the hardest trials are overcome.

The History : The Born-again Experience: A Family of Committed Individuals

Yolly Lorena met the Lord Jesus Christ in a bible study organized by Pastor Ang and Pastor Daisy (pastors of another church} After quite sometime, she met Pastor Alfie Soriano and Pastor Domingo Aguilar through her sister-in- law Ludy Lorena. It was the start of the family's commitment to Jesus Is Lord Church. The born-again experience of Yolly was followed by her children Grettel, Maythell and Jhondel. Her husband Freddie met the Lord in Saudi Arabia, where he worked. Now the family commits in music and dancing ministries in which they are used mightily.

The Blessings: Tremendous and Never—ceasing.

Freddie Lorena was able to work in Saudi Arabia, a long standing prayer of the family. They were able to purchase their own land and now they are leaving in their very own house. Two of the three children are in college and the youngest will also be in college next school year. The provision of the Lord never ends. However, more than the material blessings, the Lord bestowed the family invaluable blessings that cannot be counted and stolen. Sis. Yolly learns to control her emotion particularly her outburst and anger, she no longer participates in the community gossips which she used to do, she learns to fast and most of all, she learns to give her tithes to the Lord. Freddie Lorena is doing well in his work. Likewise, the children are mightily used in the ministry.

Victories: Miracles after miracles

The family is not exempted from trials. Yet everyday, they experience small and big victories. A lump in the breast of Yolly was removed successfully and was diagnosed as benign, Maythell was operated because of appendicitis just in time before it ruptured. Healing from ordinary sicknesses is fast. The Lord provides for their needs ,and at times even their wants.

Prayers and Goals

The family never cease to pray for their other relatives. One of their goals is to see all their relatives praising and worshipping the Lord Jesus Christ.

Words of Encouragement

God is good and powerful. He knows the deepest desires of our hearts. Give everything to Him,your time, your tithes, everything that is in you and just let Him manage your life.

Purihin ang Panginoong Hesus.

Truly a family that trusts in the Lord together is blessed and a blessing to others.

FOR THE GLORY OF GOD-A TESTIMONY

Glory to God! We want to thank the Lord Almighty for the outpouring of tremendous blessing to my family. We believe that these are the results of our prayers and faithful tithing. We would like to share to everyone how God answered our prayers.

One of our dreams was to have our own home. We’ve been looking for quite sometime but to no avail. Then one day, God sent someone from the church who helped us find one. At first look, we instantly like the house, but the price was 1.5M. We asked for a discount, then prayed earnestly and waited for an answer. After 2 days, the owner called and gave us P200,000.00 discount. God is good. We are now living in Parkview, in our very own home.

Sis Jenny: Tithing was never my priority before. I even asked why I should give a tithe. I observed that my daughter Kat-kat was prone to sickness and my husband would borrow money for our expenses every time he left to go back as a seaman. Then, when we started giving our tithes, everything had changed. Kat-kat was never been sick again and we never barrow-in fact, we had more than enough for our expenses when Bro. Joey left. Truly, God never disappointed us! He continually poured out His love in our hearts (Rom. 5:5a).

Bro. Joey: I left with so much apprehension because I would be working with lower salary than my previous contract. But I made a decision and I believe that God knew my desire to be promoted as an Engineer Officer. Discouragement came, so I asked my wife Jenny to pray. She made a prayer request to FIT prayer hotline. After 2 months I received my first award an “Employee of the Month” together with my first promotion as Chief Mechanic and salary increase. On the 7th month, God granted the desire of my heart. I am now one of the Engineer Officers. Truly, God lifted up those who trust and humble themselves.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY- A TESTIMONY

It was a fateful day of May 29, 2007 when God showed His tremendous power to my 77 year old father. At first thought, my simple mind said that what happened was a terrible blow to my father and my family as a whole. However, God had other things in mind. Truly our God is doing great and mighty things to our lives (Jer. 33:3). He is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent God. This testimony is to thank, praise & glorify the Lord Almighty for the amazing miracle that happened to my father.

When I received a text message from Bicol, telling me that my father has a stroke and was totally unconscious, I made a prayer request to FIT (Fasting Intercessors Team) through prayer partners hotline for healing and deliverance. Likewise, I asked my family members to pray. Before I left to Bicol Sis. Veron and I prayed earnestly for God’s healing touch.

When I arrived in the hospital, I saw my father still weak yet he moved his head and opened his eyes. At the moment, I believe in my heart that God is healing my father. Guided by the Holy Spirit, I prayed for acceptance and deliverance. I observed that he moved his head in response to my prayer and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, Immediately, the blood clot on his head diminished and his body was in motion. Indeed, God touched my father miraculously! God is good and He truly listens to our prayers. Truly God is the greatest healer of all. (1Pet. 2:24)
