“ One Mission...One Vision for which we are called and chosen …for which a church is built …
a church has given birth to another until a JIL Church Area 17 is born .”
A prelude to the beating drums, striking lyres and pounding cheers that fired the

JIL Parañaque church presented its four chapters: San Martin, Sun Valley , Sucat and Quirino including the satellite church– Doña Soledad. Inclined with the theme “Win the Prize” (Philippians 3: 13-14), Pastor Joey Crisostomo, the Guest Speaker , emphasized that a Christian must win the heaven’s gold medal in a race. This race , as he explained, refers to the Christian life that involves the ups and downs in serving God but still pursues through God’s unfailing strength. He exhorted that Christians are runners in this race and in order to win is to run with passion , with focus and with determination. He encouraged each of God’s children to persevere. Never quit! “Ipinapangako nyo ba … that you would still continue the race?”, as the Speaker challenged the Pastors.
Ptr. Gilbert Macades said that this year's theme is continuance of the previous theme (Philippians 1:6) where Christians life is compared to a race. An Olympic set-up highlighted that as Christians we should not only finish the race but also win the prize– doing God’s purpose in our life with flying colors. To prophetically conclude the celebration Pastor Jeric Magallanes, JIL Parañaque ’s Pastor-in-Charge , together with the Pastors of the different chapters, lead the congregation in an oath taking declaring the God’s victory.
The 17th anniversary was aired last Sunday, Dec. 02 at 6:00 in the morning at GMA 7, and likewise at 12 midnight of the same date at QTV 11.
